I enjoyed our many conversations reminiscing about the "The home place". I know you wished things were better but the good lord had a plan. Rest in peace .

We had a lot of great memories together, one's I will never forget.
Just shared some of our photos with mom and dad when they were in to visit me, as mom asked about you.
She didn't know you and David were into model planes, flying them until she seen the pics.
We always kept busy, from the garden (your pride, beside the doggies) to being up on the homeplace walking, getting spring water, to us cutting wood for the winter.
Out enjoying a bike ride or a simple evening going to Allen and Mil's for dinner and a game of cards or going to Bingo with them.
Even after we parted ways, we still remained friends, spoke over the years.
I am saddened by the news and my heart goes out to your children, Jr, Bobby, Shalkye, and Shauna.
May you dance in the heavens above, you are finally home to be with Lisa, Tommy, Anne and your parents.

Love you always,
Angela Simmons

Dad,
I love you and miss you so much.
Thank you for always being there for me, teaching me to never back down from a fight.
I will never forget the Cross country Bike trip we did together, we saw a lot and did a lot from eating a nice steak dinner to riding
back to the hotel in the rain laughing all the way.
You taught me how to drive Tractor Trailer, at the age of 8 i was driving your Mack truck going many many miles in the driveway with it running.
You always said to me...Never start a fight just finish it..
I will miss the ( Yeah i know it and Tell me about it. )
I now see why you named me after you.
you always had a big heart and big hands.
Its true you have never met a stranger.
I love you Pop and will forever miss you.
Norman Shaffer Jr.
