I knew Bessie while working at Herrschners Crafts. I would talk to her on the phone and was so impressed as to all the wonderful things she still could do. She sent me home made caramels and a wash cloth crocheted in the form of old time underwear. I am saddened to see she has passed and will remember her fondly. Bessie was a one of a kind. May God bless her and keep her. If anyone of her family members would have a picture of her I would greatly appreciate it. I love you Bessie, Rest in Peace.

I was proud to have her as a friend. And she told GREAT stories. She did some sewing projects for me- and we chatted a lot. I shared a chair with hundreds of other friends in her popular kitchen. RIP Bessie!

I meet Bessie over the telephone she called me because of wanted to knit knockers for breast cancer survivors in her area. I too live in WV and she found my number to get a pattern and learn more about the organization and how it was founded. She was such a wonderful lady with such a giving heart to help everyone and such a pleasant caring person. It brings so much sadness to hear of her passing and I didn't know until now she is no longer with us. I send my deepest sympathy to all of those who loved her and was dear to her heart.
