I was deeply saddened and heartbroken to hear of Neal's passing. As a parent of one of his classmates and a distant neighbor, I will always remember how kind and polite he was, as well as his sense of humor and love for animals. The last time I saw him was after the 8th Grade dance when all in his class would be leaving for different high schools at the end of the summer. He had hugs and kisses and tears for all of his classmates after the dance. It was one of those life images that has stayed with me for all of the years since -- I always smile when I think of that evening and how happy, yet sad, he was at the end of 8 years of school in Hartland. He was truly a good kid in so many ways, and so well liked. If I had to give him a ride to or from a 4-H meeting, I really enjoyed his company as he loved to have a good conversation. He will be forever missed.

I can still remember the day we met.....it was at Beckys in town. Even though we had never seen each other, except on facebook,we instantly ran and hugged each other........
I'LL always remember your wonderful sense of humor and the things you would post on Facebook!!!! We had alot in common and you helped me through some hard times.
You will never be forgotten. Not by your Family or friends. I'm glad your pups will be with Mikey, they were definitely your children and they loved you dearly.
Neal, your light will never fade, it will shine on forever.......

I’m so sorry to hear of Neal’s passing. He was always such a character! I always appreciated his love of an animal’s and sense of humor. I spent countless hours with Neal and his family as a kid and I have many fond memories. He certainly will be missed!
