Obituary of Charles Rodger Feather

Charles Rodger Feather, 91, of Terra Alta, WV, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2024, at Preston Memorial Hospital in Kingwood, WV. He was born July 23, 1933, in Kingwood, WV, a son of the late Leo Codditon Feather and Mildred Virginia (Harriman) Feather. Charles is a proud United States Army Veteran, serving in the Korean War in the branch of signal care. He attended the First Church in Terra Alta. He worked for Lewis and Burge for 55 years; served 40 years with the mayor and town council of Terra Alta; was the Past Master and 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge, Terra Alta #106; member of the Terra Alta Moose; a member of the American Legion in Capon Bridge; and the president of the Terra Alta Rotary Club and Lions Club. He is survived by one daughter, Mildred "Midge" Ray and husband, Scot of Terra Alta; one son, David Feather of Capon Bridge, WV; 12 grandchildren, Justin, Chad, Melony, Jordan, Rachel, Josh, Alisa, Brooke, Stephanie, Alan, Teresa, Holly, and 30 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Charles is preceded in death by, his loving wife, Phyllis E. Feather in January of 2021; two sons, Rodger Feather and wife, Angela and Mike Feather; one brother, Robert Feather. To honor Charles' wishes, he will be cremated. A memorial service and inurnment at the Terra Alta Cemetery will take place at a later date. The Preston County Honor Guard and the WVANG Honor Guard will be providing military honors at the cemetery. The Arthur H.
