Terry Allen Vandevender,

82, of Aurora, passed away at home on Sunday March 31, 2024 with his loving family by his side.

The son of the late Troy Jackson and Cleo Virginia Lipscomb Vandevender, he was born October 15, 1941, in Aurora.

He was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. He retired from Bausch & Lomb. Terry enjoyed sitting on the porch, taking drives to Location Road to the family farm where he spent a lot of time. He liked mowing and riding his buggy. He especially loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Phyllis Vandevender; a daughter and spouse, Laura and Rob Frazee of Cranesville; a son and wife, Brian and Teresa Vandevender of Aurora; six grandchildren, Josh (Keilah) Partridge, Jenna (Pat) White, Chad (Tai) Vandevender, John (Sabrina) Frazee, Meg Frazee and (T.J.), Syd (Ashton) Shreve; 10 great grandchildren: Hunter (Lexi), Livi, Kyra, Sophia, Bay, Emmie, Kylie, Kaizlee, Ridge and Maren; sister-in-law, Linda Terrant and lots of nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Aurora on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 until the 11:00 a.m. time of service with Rev. Courtney Erzkus and Pastor Regina Beard officiating. Burial will follow in the Aurora Cemetery.
