Obituary of Penny Sue Boone

Penny Boone, 65, of Terra Alta, died Friday December 22, 2023 at home surrounded by family. The daughter of the late Richard Lee and Catherine L. Kirk Pifer, she was born July 2, 1958 in Morgantown. In the beginning of her career, she was a bank teller at First National Bank, Terra Alta. Penny then co-managed the Ace Quick Lube in Oakland along with her husband, Dan. She retired as a medical receptionist. She loved summer vacations at the beach in North Carolina. She was an animal lover. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Daniel H. Boone; one son, Jason Boone of Morgantown; a daughter and spouse, Stacy and Joe Ringer of Wardensville, WV; two grandchildren, Casey and Chase Ringer; a brother and spouse, Mike and Ellen Pifer of Kingwood; and she was a mother to countless fur babies throughout the years. Family and friends will be received at the Arthur H. Wright Funeral Home, Terra Alta from 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday December 27, 2023, until the 1:00 p.m. time of service with Barry Kirk officiating.
