Obituary of Alice Marie Hovatter

Alice Marie Hovatter, 86, of Rowlesburg, died Monday December 4, 2023 at Rosewood Center Nursing Home in Grafton. The daughter of the late Raymond and Geneva E. Shaffer Wagner, she was born April 25, 1937, in Rowlesburg. Alice was a hard-working woman. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister. She is survived by her children, Danny Sheets and wife Kathy and family and Laura LaRue and husband Dennis and family; sister, Barbara Jean Dillsworth and family, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rex Hovatter, three brothers, Raymond Jr, Ralph and Donald Wagner; a sister, Margaret Teter, and her first husband, Bruce Sheets. Family and friends will be received at the Arthur H. Wright Funeral Home, Terra Alta from 10:00 a.m. on Friday December 8, 2023, until the 12:00 noon time of service with Pastor Stanley Waybright officiating.
