Obituary of Dorothea Pauline Ringer

Dorothea Pauline Ringer, age 94, ended her walk on this earth and went home to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 29th, 2023. She was a devout and faithful Christian who dedicated her life to spreading the word of God and showing his love to all those she met. Additionally, and equally, she was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Dorothea was born September 22nd, 1929 in Wolf Summit, WV, to the late Jesse Kay Myers and Nora Waveline Thompson. She was preceded in death by the love of her life and husband of 41 years, Denzil Carl Ringer; sons, James and Leon; daughter, Maxine; sisters Bernice and Regina; and brothers Bennett, Woodrow, and Larry. She is survived by children Monalisa Henry and Mark of GA; Carla Seigh and David of Terra Alta; Mary Ashauer and Henry of FL; David Ringer and Lynda, Sondra Davidson, Pamela Hoover and Bill, Paul Ringer and Rhonda, all of Buckhannon; Son-in-Law, Ted Thorne of OH; two brothers Frank Myers and Sharon of AZ; and Thomas Myers and Thelma of Kingwood. She is also survived by 34 loving grandchildren, and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. Friends and family will be received at Aldersgate Evangelical Center (54 Camp Aldersgate Ln. Terra Alta, WV) on Thursday Nov. 2nd, 2023 from noon-2pm, with service following at 2pm. Interment will follow in the Miller Cemetery, Cranesville. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to Aldersgate Evangelical Center. Arrangements are being handled by the Arthur H. Wright Funeral Home, Terra Alta.
