My uncle Sype drove to Connellsville, PA in the middle of the night to pick up my dad, Robert, my mother, sister, and I at a Greyhound bus station. Robert Dale, his brother, and all of us were in Europe before this time or stationed in Georgia. He didn't know my sister and I very well, but he was willing to pick us up. The roads were curving, and we had been traveling for at least a couple of days. I remember this vividly because I threw up in the back of his beautiful Cadillac "Blackie", and he didn't complain or yell at me.
He was kind and generous.
My mother, sister, nephews, and I miss him very much.
