Obituary of Patty Elaine Wildasin

Patty Elaine Wildasin,

77, of Terra Alta, passed away on Friday, April 7, 2023 at Mon General Hospital, Morgantown.

The daughter of the late Carlos Hamen and Edith Estella Hoff Reckart, she was born July 19, 1945 in Cransville.

Patty graduated from James Rumsey Tech Institute in Martinsburg in nursing. Her last employment was Hopemont Hospital until her retirement. She adored the residents and continued to make crafts for them after retiring.

She was a member of the Oakland Chapter #67 Order of the Eastern Star. She was very generous with donating to charities of her choice. She enjoyed flowers, birds and gardening.

She is survived by her step-father, David Weber of Clarksburg; two daughters, Paula Koontz of the Villages, FL and Vicki Skipper of Middleburg, PA; two sisters, Nancy Glotfelty of Terra Alta and Rosemary Edelen of Bellvue, CO; six grandchildren, Eddie, Warren and Steven Koontz, Jordan and Michael Skipper and Kayla Nazelrod; one great grandson, Charlie Koontz and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Willard "Jimmy" Reckart, David Messenger and Larry Reckart, and a sister, Margie Loughrie.

Family and friends will be received at the Arthur H. Wright Funeral Home in Terra Alta from 2:00 p.m. Saturday April 15, 2023 until the 3:00 p.m. time of service with Pastor Stanley Waybright officiating. To honor her wishes she will then be cremated.
