Obituary of Catherine Rose Moats

Catherine Rose Moats, 60 of Eglon, passed away Wednesday January 18, 2023, at Ruby Memorial surrounded by her loving family. The daughter of the late A. Dayton and Catherine Virginia Huffman Bolyard, she was born June 2, 1962, in Kingwood, WV. Cathy was a believer in Christ, our Lord and savior. She was a homemaker who enjoyed family time, especially with her grandchildren. She was a caregiver to her mother. She liked to garden and would dive into any project around the house. She was self-taught at running a small business alongside her husband. She was an avid planner and had a determination to learn and excel in anything new that came her way. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Danny K. Moats; a daughter, Kimberly Rose (Nicholas) Orban of Morgantown; a son, Brian Lee (Lisa) Moats of Oakland; three sisters Mary (Terry) Harder of Attica, NY, Dorothy Bolyard of Rowlesburg and Linda (Douglas) Snyder of Kincaid, WV; five brothers, Dayton (Betty) Bolyard of Eglon, Arthur (Cathy) Bolyard of Jane Lew, Dwight (Shirley) Bolyard of Aurora, Raymond "Jack" (Debbie) Bolyard of Mt. Lake Park, MD and Douglas (Tracey) Bolyard of Moatsville; five grandchildren, Jacob and Adalynn Orban, Juliaeonna Collins, Guage and Candice Moats; and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received at the Arthur H. Wright Funeral Home, Terra Alta on Friday from 5-8:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. on Saturday January 21, 2023 until the 11:00 a.m. time of service with Pastor Christy Johnson officiating.
