Lawrence Luke Lewis, 86, passed away on September 6, 2022, at Davis Memorial Hospital, Elkins, WV.



He was born January 9, 1936, in Rodemer, WV, a son of the late Waitman and Amy Pearl (Yost) Lewis.



Lawrence was a loving husband, father and brother. He owned and operated Luke's Auto Clinic in Terra Alta. Lawrence enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors.



Lawrence is survived by two daughters, Mindi Beth Pepper and husband George and Betty Jean Bishop and husband James; five grandchildren; one sister, Ruth Lewis; one brother James Lewis and wife Judy; companion, Sheliah Strawser and many nieces and nephews.



In addition to his parents, Wade and Amy Pearl Lewis, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jennie Lee; infant daughter, Jodi Rea; three sisters Vonda Minor (Donald), Gilda Haythorn (Dale), and Arlet Lantz (Robert).




Friends may call at the Arthur H. Wright Funeral Home in Terra Alta on Monday, September 12, 2022, from 10 am until the 2 pm service time with Pastor Stanley Waybright officiating. Interment will follow at the Terra Alta Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by the Preston County Honor Guard and the WVANG Honor Guard.
