Obituary of Susan Kay Baker
Susan Kay "Susie" Baker,
64, of Cranesville passed away peacefully on Tuesday December 7, 2021 surrounded by her family at Garrett Regional Medical Center.
The daughter of Jeanette James Halbritter Lothry of Oakland and the late George E. Lothry, she was born December 22, 1956 in Kingwood.
She was a homemaker and caregiver to all. She enjoyed gardening, being outside, hosting cookouts and spending time at the farm with family and friends. You could say she enjoyed going to town because you could count on her going almost daily for something or someone.
She is also survived by her husband of 42 years, Clayton Baker, Sr.;; three sons, Clayton "Buddy" Baker, Jason Baker and Ricky Baker all of Cranesville; two brothers and spouses, Patrick and Peggy Lothry of Keedysville, MD and George and Karrie Lothry of Kingwood. She was also known for helping raise and care for seven grandchildren including a special grandson, Braiden Baker that resided with her most of his life; and one great grandchild; along with many other surviving family members. Susie was known as "Momma" to a great number of people, when asked how many children she had-no definite number could be determined.
The family has chosen to provide a private service in her memory following cremation. They will make details available to those interested in attending at a later date. The family request memorial contributions be made to Arthur H. Wright Funeral Home, Terra Alta, to assist with the funeral expenses.
