Obituary of Linda Ruth Lantz
Linda Ruth "DeeDee" Lantz,
72, of Aurora, died Saturday September 18, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family.
The daughter of the late Prentice E. and Velma M. Sisler Teets, she was born January 16, 1949 in Kingwood.
Linda graduated from Terra Alta High School. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Terra Alta where she was the pianist for many weddings. She was an Evangelist...speaking the word of the Lord every chance she had. Her biggest platform was in Walmart. She had a way with people and never met a stranger.
Linda baked cakes and decorated them for many weddings. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, scrapbooking, woodworking, and any kind of crafts. She was an eternal corny jokester! She was an animal lover and enjoyed the outdoors.
Linda worked at the 5 and dime and the sewing factory in Terra Alta and the senior center in Kingwood.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years, William D. Lantz, Sr.; stepdaughter, Jackie Duncan of Aurora; two grandchildren, Austin and Kristin; sisters-in-law, Shirley Teets of Baltimore and Barbie Alford of SC; nieces, Laura Marts, Becky Dellicker, Erica Cox and Bridget Teets; nephews, Bill, Keith, Paul, Tony, Stephen and Wesley Teets and Roger Ashcraft and special great nephew and family, Kurtis, Samantha and Easton Dellicker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Ronald, Clifford, David and Roger Teets and a nephew, Wayne Teets.
Family and friends will be received at the Arthur H. Wright Funeral Home, Terra Alta on Tuesday from 5-8:00 p.m. and at the Trinity United Methodist Church from 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, until the 11:00 a.m. time of service with Rev. Eric Beeman officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and for the safety of everyone attending, visitors are suggested to wear a mask and practice social distancing while paying respects to the family.
