Obituary of Robert Allen Severe

Robert Allen Severe, 82 of Morgantown and formerly of Terra Alta, died Tuesday August 31, 2021, at Mon General Hospital in Morgantown. The son of the late Albert C. and Lora B. Tasker Severe, he was born July 15, 1939, at Hutton, MD. Bob was a retired coal miner from Consol Energy. He enjoyed traveling and family trips. He was always there for his family to help in any way. He was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by three daughters and spouses, Sherry and John Sisler of Reedsville, Carol and Chris Harbert of Morgantown and Michele and Rex Roberts of Wytheville, VA; one son and spouse, Mark and Lisa Severe of Buckhannon; a sister, Bonnie Lou Pruitt of SC; ten grandchildren: Janell (Jason) Peaslee, Sabrina (Tommy) King, Liane Severe, Bryan (Amber) Severe, Matthew, Andrew (Shannon), Jacob and Braxton Roberts, Nicholas and Hannah Harbert; and 10 great grandchildren and very special caregivers: MaryAnn Bankhead, Shari Efaw, Claudia McIe and Savannaha Thorn. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Clemie Severe; a son, Robert B. Severe; two brothers, Bruce and Dale Severe and a sister, Maxine Sanders. Family and friends will be received at the Arthur H. Wright Funeral Home, Terra Alta from 10:00 a.m on Saturday, September 4, 2021, until the 11:00 a.m. time of service with Rev. Robert A.
