Obituary of William Arlen Huffman

William Arlen Huffman, 77, of Aurora passed away Thursday, June 3, 2021, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. A son of the late William F. Huffman and Daisy E. (Cozatt) Huffman Hall, he was born December 22, 1943 on the Felty Place on Lantz Ridge in Aurora. William was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He was a hard-working man of honor. He worked for Kingsford Manufacturing from December 8, 1968 until October 1, 2004. William began dating the love of his heart, Ruth Ann "Momma Dear" Bennett in 1968 and married her on July 12, 1971. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing and just sitting on the porch watching the birds. He also enjoyed westerns, but most of all, his pride and joy was always his family. In addition to his wife of 49 years, Ruth Ann "Momma Dear", William is also survived by his three daughters, Nancy Louise Miles, Sally Ann Huffman and John Rose and Alicia Faith Huffman and Erik Palacios; two brothers, Dale Huffman and wife Judy and Foster Huffman; two sisters, Virginia Bolyard and Elaine Snyder; five grandchildren, William "Billy" Christopher Miles and Cassidy Norman, Nathaniel "Nate" Allen Hemerick and Heather, RayAnn "Annabelle" Lanae Hemerick, Jonathan "Johnny" Matthew Miles and Quinn Joseph William Hauger and four great grandchildren, Aubree Willow Miles, Kylie Lynn-Dawn Hemerick, Adalynn Grace Hemerick and Haleigh Grace Miles. William was preceded in death by one son, William Huffman and two siblings, Jean Keller and Helen Huffman Shaver Nelson. Friends and family will be received at the Arthur H. Wright Funeral Home in Terra Alta on Monday, June 7, 2021 from 4 to 8 pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at 1 pm.
