Obituary of Tricia Jean Casteel

Tricia Jean Casteel,

46, of Terra Alta died suddenly on Friday March 5, 2021 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown.

The daughter of Norma Jean Lawton Jones of Freedom, PA and the late Frank R. Lawton, she was born January 26, 1975 in McKeesport, PA.

Tricia enjoyed sewing, baking, cooking, and spending time with her family and her dog, Bella.

She was employed at Garrett Regional Medical Center as a unit secretary for outpatient surgery. She enjoyed her co-workers and patients.

Tricia loved to decorate for Christmas and would sing Christmas carols all year long. She loved the hills of West Virginia!

She is survived by her husband of 7 years, Bill Casteel; six children, Scott Prontiker, Emily Kalb, Jimmy Kalb, Sidney, Nathan and Bailey Casteel; two sisters and spouses, Lynna and Brian Micon of Freedom, PA and Leslie and Bryan Boyd of Elizabeth, PA; mother and father-in-law, Ralph and Brenda Casteel of Terra Alta; sister-in-law, Holly Sines of Terra Alta; aunts, uncles and many nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Frank R. Lawton, Jr.

Family and friends will be received at the Arthur H. Wright Funeral Home, Terra Alta on Monday from 4-8:00 p.m. and from noon on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 until the 1:00 p.m. time of service with Pastor Kelly Gamble officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

Due to COVID-19, safety precautions will be taken, the social distancing6-foot rule will be honored and all guests are to wear a mask.
