Obituary of Betty Sue Host

Betty Sue Host, 72 of Terra Alta died Tuesday February 2, 2021 at home with family. The daughter of the late Lee and Mabel I. Cale she was born June 2, 1948 at St. George. Betty retired from Hopemont Hospital and the First United Bank in Oakland. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren play baseball and football. She was an avid collector of glassware and knick knacks. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by three sons and spouses, Ronald and Mary Evelyn of Corinth, Don and April Host and Tom and Stacey Host all of Terra Alta; 11 grandchildren: Eric, Christopher, Brandon, Kyla, Avery, Aaron, Tehya and Tyra Host, and Mariyah, Nathaniel and Cheyanne Bishop; one great grandson, Reid Host; one brother, John Cale of Parsons; three sisters, Patty Cale of Kingwood, Rosie Amy of St. George and Anna Fitzwater and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Virgil LeRoy Host in July 2020; three sisters, Orpha, Mary and Ellen and six brothers, Roger, Harry, Jerry, Virgil, Dale and Alfred.
