Obituary of Mary Frances Loughry

Mary F. Loughry 73, of Terra Alta, died unexpectedly on Wednesday January 27, 2021 at Preston Memorial Hospital, Kingwood. The daughter of the late Mary L. Lewis and Charles E. Anderson, Sr., she was born July 3, 1947 in Terra Alta. She loved to listen to music, especially Elvis Presley. She enjoyed playing cards and listening to family playing guitar. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great grandmother. She is survived by two sons, Bobby S. Loughry and Samantha of Summersville, SC and John E. Loughry and Stephanie of Terra Alta; five daughters, Melanie D. Loughry and Mike of Terra Alta, Shelley M. Miller and Dennis of Tunnelton, Carol L. Swann and T.C. of Kingwood, Charlene S. Loughry and Heather R. Hauger and Dan, all of Terra Alta and many others she thought of as children; four sisters, Terry Summers and Jack of Lenox, Ima Stemple and Carol Thomas and Tim, all of Terra Alta, and Cindy Glover of Rowlesburg; 28 grandchildren, five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bones" Loughry in 2007; a daughter, Elizabeth Loughry, two granddaughters, Sabrina M. Jackson; and Halle Hauger; three sisters, Connie Sue Anderson, Diana Grace Graham and Bonnie DeWitt; three brothers, Larry (Bo) Anderson, Barry (Catty) Anderson, Sr. and Charlie Anderson. Family and friends will be received at the Arthur H. Wright Funeral Home, Terra Alta on Friday from 4-8:00 p.m. and from noon on Saturday January 30, 2021 until the 1:00 p.m. time of service with Revs. Larry Anderson and Stanley Waybright officiating. Burial will follow in the Terra Alta Cemetery. Due to COVID-19, safety precautions will be taken, the social distancing 6-foot rule will be honored and all guests are to wear a mask.
