Obituary of Lewis Arnold Nuzum
Lewis A. "Butch" Nuzum,
74, of Terra Alta and formerly of Grafton went home with the Lord on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at home surrounded by family.
The son of the late Pearl Breedlove and Albert Nuzum, he was born October 27, 1945 in Grafton.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He worked as a mason block layer and in the construction field for his working life.
Butch enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors. His greatest pleasure and joy were his grandchildren and family. He had a great heart and never met a stranger.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Roxanne Ours Nuzum; a sister, Mary Ann Williams and a brother, Albert "Doug" Nuzum, both of Grafton; three daughters, Sara (Andrew) Calhoun of Terra Alta, Samantha Bolyard and Tammy Sheets, both of Grafton; two sons, Michael (Krissy) Nuzum and Lewis "Butchie" (Josie) Nuzum II, all of Grafton; 13 grandchildren: Owen, Ava, Zachary, Dakota, T.J., Hunter, Colton, Haley, Jessica, Tiffany, Jeffery, Amanda and Stephanie; seven great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Burl "Sambo" (Kim) Ours; nephews Sam Ours and William "Billy" Williams, Richard (Kathy) Nuzum; niece June Ours; great nephews, Isaac, Jacob, David, Garrett, Dillon; nieces Cassie and Jena and a special friend, Emmee "Jo" Nine.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a great grandchild, Isabella Thomas; niece, Debbie Nuzum; brother-in-law, William Williams; sister-in-law, Drucilla Goff and mother-in-law and spouse, Lavada Ours (Floyd) Derrick.
Cremation services will be provided by Arthur H. Wright Funeral Home, Terra Alta with a memorial service being at a later date.
