Obituary of Karen Sue Durr

Karen Sue Durr, 54, of Terra Alta, died Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at home with family by her side. She was born on April 3, 1966 in Grafton, a daughter of Dortha Lucille Freeland of Terra Alta and the late James Lee Adams. Karen was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Robert J. Durr; two daughters, Jessica Durr and companion Travis of Terra Alta and Jennifer Knotts and husband Davey of Tunnelton; one son, Robert Durr and companion Darian of Tunnelton; ten grandchildren, Brayden, Hunter, Bailey, Haisley, Joni, Travis, Robert, Dylan, Autumn and one on the way and two sisters, Cindy Myers and husband Ken and Paula Shrout and husband Scott. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one brother, James Allen Adams and her maternal and paternal grandparents. Friends may call at the Arthur H. Wright Funeral Home in Terra Alta on Friday, October 2, 2020 from 5 p.m. until the 7 p.m. service time with Rev. Larry Anderson officiating. To honor her wishes she will then be cremated. Due to COVID-19, safety precautions will be taken, the social distancing 6-foot rule will be honored and all guests, whose health allows, are to wear a mask.
