Obituary of Michael Lynn Roy

Michael Lynn Roy, 62, of Terra Alta (Corinth Community), passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. He was born December 9, 1957 in Kingwood, WV, a son of the late Arthur M. and Izetta E. Reckart Roy. Mike was the heart and soul of the business he owned and operated for over 27 years- Roy's Body Shop. He also enjoyed working on the family farm. Mike will be missed by his many loyal customers and friends. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to anyone he met. His passing has left a void in many hearts. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Rebecca L. Rogers Roy; two sons, Michael S. Roy and Jason L. Roy and wife Emily; two granddaughters, Haylee and Kyndall Roy, all of Corinth and two sisters, Bonnie L. Miller of Terra Alta and Kathy J. Roy of Corinth. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Delmas "Frog" Roy and Darl "Toad" Roy and one sister Peggy Sue Roy. Due to this unknown time with the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be a private visitation and funeral at the Arthur H. Wright Funeral Home in Terra Alta.
