Obituary of Karen Sue Nine

Karen Sue Bishop Nine, 73, of Oakland MD, passed away due to heart complications on Saturday, May 2, 2020 at the Dennett Road Manor in Oakland, MD. She was born December 22, 1946 in Terra Alta a daughter of the late James E. Bishop and Violet V. Kemphfer Bishop. Karen was a member of the Salem Church of the Brethren in Bruceton Mills. She was a bookkeeper for her husband's business, Stanley's Garage then worked as a cashier for Shop N Save. She is survived by one son, Stacy D. Nine of Newton, NC; one sister, Hazel V. Savage and husband Donnie of Oakland, MD; one brother, James E. Bishop and wife Betty of Terra Alta; one granddaughter, Ashley Rae Bell of Rowlesburg ; one great granddaughter, Kenzey Marie Wolfe; one son-in-law, Richard Bell of Rowlesburg and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley David Nine on July 3, 1999; one daughter, Jacqueline Nine Bell on December 29, 2011 and one son, Ronald Allen Nine. Due to this unknown time with the COVID-19 pandemic, there will not be a public visitation. A graveside service will be held at the Terra Alta Cemetery on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at 11:00 am with Pastor Donnie Savage officiating. The family has entrusted Arthur H. Wright Funeral Home in Terra Alta with arrangements.
