Obituary of Forrest Mason Pennington

Forrest M. Pennington, 85, of Terra Alta, met Jesus on Wednesday October 9, 2019. The son of the late Leonard and Edith Roy Pennington, he was born September 14, 1934 in Dryfork, WV. Forrest was a member of Crellin Assembly of God Church where he was the leader of the Royal Rangers. He was a 1954 graduate of Harmon High School and graduated from WVU with a master's degree in teaching. He was a US Army Veteran and was a specialist Minute Man Missile Corp. Forrest was a teacher of Vocational Agriculture in Preston County and involved with the FFA. He retired with 35 years of service. He raised sheep and cattle and enjoyed hunting. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Patricia "Patty" Pennington; a daughter and spouse, Robin and Scott Wilson of Newton, Iowa; four grandchildren: Gabrielle, Bethany, Anneliese and Isaiah; and a brother and spouse, Roy and Orpha Pennington of Dryfork. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Polly Pennington; two brothers, one sister, and his very special dog, Ginger. Family and friends will be received at the Crellin Assembly of God Church on Friday from 3-6:00 pm and at the Dryfork Assembly of God Church from noon Saturday October 12, 2019 until the 1:00 p.m. time of service with Pastor Russell R.
