Ronald Dwight "Ronnie" Gordon Sr. Obituary

Ronald Dwight "Ronnie" Gordon, Sr., 83, of Romney, WV, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at his home.


 


He was born March 9, 1942, in Washington, D.C., a son of the late Lemon W. Gordon and May L. (Cosner) Gordon of Oakland, MD.


 


Ronnie worked and retired after 35 years with East Coast Oil Corporation where he oversaw managerial services with like business procedures. He was a man of God who had a very deep relationship in his faith and is now happy and healthy in the presence of his Lord and Savior.


 


He is survived by the love of his life, Nancy K. (Simmons) Gordon; four children, Ronald D. Gordon, Jr. (Sheila) of Upper Tract, WV, Tammy K. Gordon (Jerry) of Friendsville, MD, Mark L. Gordon (Karen) of Independence, WV, and Billy D. Gordon (Erin) of Morehead City, NC; seven grandchildren, Marlana L. Pennington, Amber D. Gordon, Kayla F. Baldwin, Avery L. Iles, William H. Gordon, Walker M. Gordon, Addisyn M. Gordon; 11 great grandchildren; siblings, Sue Fazenbaker, June Cooper, Duane Gordon, and Edwin Gordon, and many nieces and nephews.


 


In addition to his parents, Ronnie is preceded in death by his siblings, Ray Gordon, Keith Gordon, Sr., Marvin Gordon, and Dorthea Metheny.


 


A graveside service will be held at the Fairview Church Cemetery, 1118-1136 Fairview Church Road, Oakland, MD, 21550, on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 11:00 am with Pastor Samuel G. Moon officiating.


 


In lieu of flowers, donations in Ronnie's memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
