Obituary of Michael Eugene Horrocks

Michael Eugene Horrocks, 72, of Terra Alta, WV, formerly of Baltimore, MD, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2025, with his daughters by his side. He was born on May 27, 1953, in Lansing, WV, a son of the late John Horrocks and Barbara (Hall) Horrocks. Michael was a 1971 graduate of Kenwood High School. After graduating, he proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps as Staff Sargent. He was employed as a heavy equipment mechanic for Lockheed Martin and was a member of the auto workers' union. Michael lived in Baltimore until he retired and moved to Terra Alta with his best friend. He enjoyed fishing, watching westerns, was a firearm enthusiast, and absolutely loved "his girls" – daughters, granddaughters, and great granddaughters. He is survived by two daughters, Kristal Bevars and husband, Dan, and April Cramer and husband, Ray both of Baltimore, MD; two granddaughters, Erica Edwards and husband, Kevin, and Emily Bevars; two great granddaughters, Kamara Edwards and Kambri Edwards; three brothers, Joe Horrocks, Jeff Horrocks and wife, Melanie Horrocks, Terry Horrocks and wife Shannon, and best friend for over 50 years and neighbor, Fred Broda. In addition to his parents, Michael is preceded in death by two brothers, Tim Horrocks and Pat Horrocks, and two sisters, Toni Horrocks and Kristal Horrocks. To honor his wishes, Michael will be cremated. The Arthur H. Wright Funeral Home in Terra Alta, WV, will be providing professional and compassionate cremation services.
