Obituary of Kenneth Clayton Reckart Sr.

Kenneth Clayton "Peewee" Reckart, Sr., 65, of Terra Alta, WV, passed away on Friday, October 24, 2025, at Allegany General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA with family by his side.

 

Peewee was born on May 8, 1960, in Oakland, MD, a son of the late Clayton Cletus Reckart and Hazel Jean (Wolfe) Reckart.

 

He was employed as a truck driver. He loved driving truck, working and was always willing to help someone in need. He loved spending time with his family and especially grandchildren.

 

Peewee is survived by his companion, Sandra Murphy; four sons, Kenneth Reckart, Jr, of Culpepper, VA, Daniel Reckart of Terra Alta, Cody Murphy and wife, Kristy of Springboro, OH, and Vaughn Sisler of Grantsville, MD; two daughters, Crystal Wiles and husband, Robbie of Aurora, WV, and Faith Eichorn and husband, Jimmy of Swanton, MD; one brother, Donald Reckart of Mt. Storm; one sister, Twila Gbur and husband, John of Smicksburg, PA; sixteen grandchildren, Clayton Reckart, Noah Reckart, Kendall Reckart, Kinsey Wiles, Adrian Wiles, Blake Reckart, Owen Reckart, Ruby Reckart, Lucy Murphy, Gabby Murphy, Harley Eichorn, Jordan Eichorn, Trinity Sisler, Alexi Sisler, Mayci Sisler, and Oden Sisler.

 

In addition to his parents, Peewee is preceded in death by one grandson, Zachary Reckart.

 

Friends may call at the Arthur H. Wright Funeral Home in Terra Alta, WV, on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm and on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am time of service with Pastor Michael Lantz officiating.
