Floyd Howard Walters, 77, of Terra Alta, WV, passed away Friday, October 17, 2025, at Hopemont State Hospital in Terra Alta, WV.

He was born in Harrison County, WV, on September 22, 1948, to the late Samuel Ferguson Walters and Sarah Leona (Thacker) Walters. 

Floyd was a farm hand, dishwasher at Salem College, laborer at the Coca Cola Plant, and laborer at Camden Park in Huntington. His longest and favorite job was working for Walker Transfer on route 60 near Kenova. He helped drivers load and unload their trucks as well as riding along to different sites. 

Friends may call at the Arthur H. Wright Funeral Home in Terra Alta, WV, at 10:00am, Tuesday, October 28, 2025, for a funeral service with Pastor Sam Moon officiating. A private interment will follow on a later date in the Pine Grove Cemetery.
