Obituary of Larry Eugene Martin

Larry Eugene Martin, 78, of Terra Alta, WV, passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at Cortland Acres Nursing Home in Thomas, WV

The son of the late Clarence C. and Cora Mae (Ledford) Martin, he was born on December 24, 1946, in Huntington, WV.

Larry loved watching Golf and NASCAR on T.V. His favorite driver was number 24, Jeff Gordon.

Larry is survived by his son, Larry E. Martin, Jr.; stepdaughter, Donna Kemphfer and husband, Jerome Moats; stepson, Bill Frantz and wife, Mary; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Debra Fromm; best friend, Buddy Riggleman, and best fur friend, Daisy.

In addition to his parents, Larry is preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Ann (Hughes) Martin in 2016.

Friends may call at the Arthur H. Wright Funeral Home in Terra Alta, WV, on Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am time of service with Pastor Mark Teets officiating. Burial will follow in the Terra Alta Cemetery.
