Obituary of Patricia Jean Emrick

Patricia Jean Emrick, 94, of Oakland, MD, previously of Falls Church, VA, passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at Dennett Rehab Center, Oakland, MD, with family by her side.

She was born in Pittsburgh, PA, on October 3, 1930, a daughter of the late Herman Cordes and Jean (Wilson) Cordes.

Patricia loved her dogs, enjoyed going for walks, playing Mahjong and Bridge, and was an avid reader. She took great pride in her summer home in Alpine Lake.

Patricia is survived by her daughter, Betsy Blood and husband, Mike; son, George Emrick, Jr. and wife, Kathleen; ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

In addition to her parents, Patricia is preceded in death by her loving husband, George Emrick, Sr. and daughters, Pam Marsh and Sharon Notarianni.

To honor her wishes, Patricia will be cremated. Inurnment will be held at the Arlington National Cemetery, on a later date. The Arthur H. Wright Funeral Home in Terra Alta, WV will provide compassionate and professional services.
