Obituary of Donna Rae Sisler

Donna Rae Sisler, 75, of Oakland, MD, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2025, at WVU Medicine J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital with family by her side. She was born July 27, 1949, in Blaine, WV, a daughter of the late Carl Bernard Paugh and Nellie Anna (Evans) Paugh. Donna worked for Wal-Mart and Cuppett and Weeks Nursing Home both in Oakland, MD, and for the Chicken Plant in Moorefield, WV and in Oakland, MD. She enjoyed crocheting and shopping. Most of all Donna loved spending time with her grandbabies. Donna is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Boyd Roy "Bud" Sisler, Sr.; sons, Boyd "Buddy" Sisler, Jr. and wife, Anna, Bradley Sisler and wife, Phoebe, Jeffrey Sisler and wife, Karen, and Charles "Charlie" Sisler; daughter, Anna Mayne and husband, Clinton; 10 grandchildren, Samantha, Danny, Marcus, Quentin, Sierra, Scott, Anthony, Josh, Veronica, Leonard; 20 great-grandchildren; sister, Sandra Poore; sisters-in-law, Edna Palineau, Darla Moats, and Caroline Sisler; brother-in-law, Gary Sisler; nephew, Chipper and several nieces. In addition to her parents, Donna is preceded in death by two great-grandchildren, Emmett and Kayden, sisters Peggy Paugh and Bonnie Schrier and brother, Michael Paugh To honor her wishes, Donna will be cremated. The Arthur H. Wright Funeral Home will be assisting the family with compassionate and professional services.
