Obituary of Joe Neal DeLauder

Joe N. Delauder, 89, of Terra Alta, WV, passed away peacefully at home on May 3, 2025. He was born on January 17, 1936, in Corinth, WV. Joe was a former self-employed excavator and retired school bus driver for Preston County Schools. Joe was a member of Corinth Church. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Virginia L. DeLauder; children, Deborah Hartley (Larry) of Annandale, VA, Deane Foy (Jeff) of Terra Alta, WV, Jeffery Pritt (Mary) or Aurora, CO, Jennifer Rohrbaugh of Terra Alta, WV and a daughter in heart, Gina Pisegna of North Carolina. He is also survived by grandchildren, J.D. Hartley, Joshua Hartley, C.J. Foy, Hannah Foy, Kalee Fearnow, Adam Pritt, Kelly Pritt, Jordan Rohrbaugh, Zachary Rohrbaugh, and Addison Rohrbaugh; great-grandchildren, Leif Fearnow and Hudson Foy; and one sibling, Sandra LaRue of Terra Alta and many nieces and nephews. Joe is preceded in death by his parents, David and Bertha M. (Freeland) DeLauder; his in-laws, Herold E. and M. Virginia Lewis; and two sisters, Maxine Gill and Elizabeth (Betty) Stewart. To honor Joe's wishes, he will be cremated, and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date. The Arthur H. Wright Funeral Home in Terra Alta will be providing compassionate and professional care.
