Obituary of Corina Sueann Hymes

Corina "Cori" Sueann Hymes, 55, of Terra Alta, WV, passed away unexpectedly Friday, April 18, 2025.

She was born on July 24, 1969, in Cleveland, OH, a daughter of the late Walt Kisner and Sue Kisner.

Cori was a "workaholic." She was currently employed at Par-Mar Convenience Store. Her favorite and longest job was working as a waitress at Alpine Lake Resort. Cori would not let anything stop her from doing work that needed to be done and always had time to spend with her family. She enjoyed the beach and absolutely loved her animals, Velvet, Fluff, and Rambo.

She is survived by one son, Bryon Hymes, Jr.; siblings, Dori Braniff and husband, Danny, Trish Gould and husband, Danny, Will Eddy and wife, Sue, Billy Kisamore, Mary Hart and husband Mike, Jane Gibson, and many foster sisters; nieces and nephews, Tyler Braniff, Mark Kisamore, Christopher Eddy, Russell Gibson, Alecia Poppe, Sarah Hart, Stephen Hart, Michael T. Hart, Alexis Hart, Aidan Hart, and Kambra Dawn Sisler.

In addition to her parents, Cori is preceded in death by her husband, Allen B. Hymes, Sr., niece, Kammie Lantz, and many foster sisters.

To honor Cori's wishes, she will be cremated. The Arthur H. Wright Funeral Home in Terra Alta will be providing compassionate and professional care.

A celebration of life will be held at the Terra Ambulance Building, 1124 E State Ave, Terra Alta, WV 26764, on Friday, May 2, 2025, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.
